My name is Richard Overall, I live in Houston, Texas, and I am searching the life and times of my father C. Philip Overall and the ship he sailed on for 32 years, 'RMS Rangitiki'. He signed on in 1929 as Second Cook, became Chef in 1939, and was with the ship until its final voyage in 1962 ~ never missed a trip in all that time.
My intent is to write a book about the man and the ship, but as he has been dead for thirty years, I am having to rely on those that knew him and/or sailed with him, and those who sailed on the 'Tiki either as crew or passenger.
