I was born before WW2 started and at the time my Dad had been called up with the Territorial Battalion of the KOYLI. My Granddad also served, a veteran of the Boar War and WW1 he served with 6th Bn KOYLI guarding POWs in Grantham. He later sustained an injury leading to his discharge. My Dad was discharged after Dunkirk. I served for 27 years in both the KOYLI and in the Royal Green Jackets. My main intrest is modern Military History.
