I am a retired schoolteacher who taught for forty years in various midland schools. Although I'm now seventy I still have a desire to publish my writing. In the past I have written plays, mainly for for schoolchildren, and one of my poems about teaching Wilfred Owen's work was published in a book called 'In the Spirit of Wilfred Owen'.
Over the past twelve months I have edited the transcripts of the Stratford on Avon Oral History Project (World War Two memories), and readers will find sixty stories under the heading of the Stratford Society - shortly to be archived of course.
At present I am writing a novel about the trainee Canadian pilots who gave their lives as bomber aircrew, using old Wellington planes that were difficult to fly, especially at night, and unreliable because of their age as ex-operational machines.
