Now retired, living in the comfort zone and watching the years go by in two's, I still have a few scars of being an Evacuee. In the 1940's we had no therapy designed for recovery from any traumas we may have suffered. Perhaps for me that was not such a bad thing. Personal will power has a more healing affect and to my mind provides grater satisfaction. The former evacuees I am hoping to locate are, Porky Rowe, Eric Simmons, Peter Sagola, Leonard and Sid Soanes, John Bowles, Frank and John Fisher, Sydney Blackwell, Fred Burley, Peter Jarney. Other names have escaped me.
