In 1995 my wife suggested that I wrote up something of my war experiences for the benefit of my daughter and our two sons having recently left university.
It was intended to be a short chronological record of where I had been and what I had done during the war. I became a bit too nostalgic and rather verbose and two years later in 1997 I called it a day with a full stop.
Perhaps I should add that all characters mentioned are real and I hope that no one will take offence. None is intended.
