My Grandfather was killed while serving with 50th RTR in North Africa, from the research I made into his death I eventually wrote the history of the 50th RTR. Since then I have made numerous trips to the Western Desert battlefields. I have just recently toured Egypt, Libya and Tunisia guideing 8th and 1st Army Veterans around their old battlefields, as part of the "Hero`s Return" scheme.
