Hello! My name is Frederick Glover and my home is in Brighton. I am retired now but my working life was, in the main spent in mechanical engineering.
During the war I served for a short period in The Buffs at Canterbury and again for a short time in the Middlesex Regt at Beaver Camp in Hounslow.
It was from here that I volunteered for the Paras and went to Harwick Hall from the High Beech Hotel in Epping Forest. After jump training I joined the 9th Battalion of the Parachute Regt at Bulford and served with them throughout the rest of the war; taking part in the D.Day landing, the Ardennes and the crossing of the Rhine.
