I was born on November 18th 1937, my name then was Christine Upton and I lived in Bell Green Coventry. I was evacuated to Kenilworth where my mother Marjorie worked in the food Office. My father was in the war from beginning to end and served with the Eigth Army.
I went to school at St Lawrence's C E School and then Priory high School for Girls In 1957 I went to the City of Coventry Training College where I trained as a Primary School Teacher. I retired in 1994 after twenty one years as a Head Teacher in Warwickshire.
