My Brighton and Hove is a local history and community website. It has 2,000 pages and gets about 12, 250 visitor sessions per week. It features over 500 places and topics in the city. Every week local people add their memories, photographs, knowledge and opinions about the city - as it is today - and as it was in the past. It has a reputation as an exemplary local history site and has won a number of awards including 'Best Community Site' in the Brighton Virtual Festival in 2004. The site is entirely built, edited and maintained, by a group of volunteers.
We are interested in hearing from residents, past and present, of Brighton and Hove who would like to share their stories of World War II in this city. Or, perhaps you were stationed here as a serving member of the Armed Forces or were you involved in Civil Defence? If you would like to share your stories and memories please contact us at: info@mybrightonandhove.org.uk and we will offer help and guidance to enable you to publish them online.
