I would like to introduce myself - my name is Yvonne Weiden (nee Lipman) and I have written this personal page in memory and honour of my father Sidney Lipman, who was a flight engineer in 166 squadron in the RAF during WWII. He successfully completed 31 tours of operation, and achieved the rank of Warrent Officer. I have submitted a story that my late father wrote during his later years. If any of you out there remember my father, you will know that he always had a smile on his face, and had an extremely happy personality. I have also submitted an evacuation story written by my mother, Nina Lipman (Schneiderman) who was 14 at the beginning of WWII and is a sprightly great-grandmother of 7 (2 more on the way, as of Jan. 2006).
To all the heroes (sung and unsung) of WWII, I salute you all.
