Dear All,
My name is Fred Crowther and I will be 83 years old in December 2005. At the age of 20 I joined the REME. I was known as Craftman F Crowther No. 14427815 of the 214 Infantry Brigade Workshop, 43 Wessex Division until 1946, and then the 3rd Medium Workshop (named this 3 months after the end of the war).
In 1954 I married my wife Doreen and had two daughters Lynette and Susan. I also have 3 grandchildren, Jennie, Daniel, and Amanda.
When I saw 'WW2 People鈥檚 War' on 大象传媒 2 I immediately wanted to get in touch. I enlisted the help of my granddaughter and now here we are, how exciting!
I am especially interested to hear from people who have any information regarding 'flying bombs' (see my story), or who may of had a connection with my REME workshop.
