I am the post war issue of a couple who married in 1950. My father (1923-2004) and mother (b 1928) each had a Cornish parent and it was to Cornwall that my mother was evacuated as a child before starting work in London at the age of 14. My father, whose formative years were spent in Bristol, volunteered for RN service in 1942; the Naval life was one he grew to love. His Certificate of Service lists his Ships as Victory, Pembroke, Hamilton (?) and Copra and I would very much like to hear from former shipmates or their descendants. Although now domiciled in a rural environment in the north of the UK, I am, like my mother, a South Londoner by birth.
