I was born, Margaret Simmons, on November 26th 1947.My early memories include rationing, so one could say I had some first hand experience of WW2 and apart from that, I was considered one of the babies of the 'bulge' as my mum used to delicately put it. My story is going to be based on the stories and anecdotes that she told me throughout her life. She died in 1991 at the age of 67.
My Mum was Pauline Mary Payton
My Grandad was Leonard Edward Payton who served in the Navy during WW1 and WW2
My Grandma was Jane (Jennie) Payton
