It was a history teacher at school, called Mr Brown, that really sparked off my love of history. It was fueled by my great grandparents who could tell amazing tales of times gone by. I have been particularly interested in World war 2 after discovering some things about my great grandads.
One of my great grandad was in world war 2. He was in the 1st Battalion of the Royal Norfolk Regiment. He is still living but is unwilling to discuss the details of what happened during the war. I wanted to find out where he went and general details. His name is Horace Hales and he was a Corporal. If anyone has any information on him then please contact me. Thank you
Also my other great grandad was in the Signal Corps of the Rushden Home guard. He is also alive and he can tell fantastic stories about what he did while he lived in Rushden. If anyone knows or knew him and has any stories to share then please contact me. His name is Herbert Rigby but he may have gone by Howard. Thank you
