Born On the Isle of Dogs.London E14 (Dockland) 1925 got Bombed out in the Blitz Sept 1940
I Joined the RN 08/1943 as HO Rating did training in Collingwood went to stockheath camp ; from here got a draft chit Jan1944 to R N Parties trained and moved from camp to camp around Hampshire and I.O.W I was in party 1592 and part of (Partyfunshore). I ended up on Sword Beach at about 9-30am D-Day and was at Hermanville till the August.Then moved on in the Naval Parties in different locations on continent till May1945 Draft chit to HMS Scourge then Nov1945 to HMS Charity. service in Mediterranean on board till June1946 then to Malta Fleet Salvage till Demobbed Nov 1946.
Hence Service career ended. I have made contributions to this Site
