I am looking for details of V1 and V2 landings in the area of Palmers Green and Southgate, London N13 and N14 districts, during the autumn of 1944.

In particular I am trying to track down one particular incident which occurred a few weeks after I started school in September 1944. In late October 1944 I know there was a V2 hit on the railway line close to Palmers Green station but this happened in the early evening after school had finished. The one I'm looking for probably happened within a day or two of that V2 and possibly even on the same day which I think was 26 October 1944. It was definitely during school hours and because our teacher gave us a few seconds warning to take cover it is more likely to have been a V1 than a V2.

My story is on this site under the title 'Was it a
V1 or a V2?'.

Would be very grateful if anyone can confirm my recollections of that event.
