I was evacuated from Bristol, Bedminster area, in 1941 from Temple Meads Station, I was six years old, I and many others that day ended up eventually in Ilfracombe, north Devon, where I and others stayed for three and a half years.
I well remember the young boy who was billeted at the same house as I was, his name was Brian Lacy, and we spent many a happy hour together over the time we we were there, but we lost touch when we were re-billeted, and I often wonder what happened to him, and it would be nice to come across him once again, if he remembers me of course.
So, if anyone knows of a Brian Lacy, from Bristol, who was evacuated to Ilfracombe in 1941, and knew of a Mickey Fynn, his mate, then please get in touch.
Mike
