I am now a married woman aged 66, I was born in London but in 1941 went to Darlington in Co. Durham to live with my mother's family. I would like to talk to other evacuees to hear about their experiences at school and with the other children, considering different backgrounds and accents. I have lived in Darlington since 1949 but realise the effects of the war can have far-reaching results on our lives - even children.
