Yes. A valid TV Licence is required to watch or download any programmes on 大象传媒 iPlayer*, on a TV or any device聽including a phone, tablet or computer.
Doing so without a TV Licence is a criminal offence and you could be prosecuted and fined up to 拢1000 (or 拢2000 in Guernsey).

Do I need a TV Licence to watch iPlayer when I鈥檓 away from home?
Yes. You are covered to use 大象传媒 iPlayer when you鈥檙e away from home as long as you have a TV Licence at your home address and the device you鈥檙e using isn鈥檛 plugged in. If the device is plugged in at a separate address, there needs to be a licence in place at that address.
Can I just watch one programme?
You still need to be covered by a TV Licence. If at any stage you no longer need your TV Licence, you can cancel it and get a refund. Your TV Licence gives you access to everything on 大象传媒 iPlayer, including thousands of hours of programmes and box sets.
