Doves Added to Festival Line Up

Three more acts confirmed to form part of the final line-up for this years’ Jersey Live.

Doves

Doves will play at Jersey Live

With summer upon us we ditch our winter woollies and start to look forward to long warm days, and, of course, Jersey Live.

This years’ festival has not only secured huge headline acts but is to flaunt brand new emerging groups, strongly tipped for big things in 2009.

Manchester rock band Doves make a new addition to the already brimming line up.

Doves most recent album, Kingdom of Rust, which offers the leading track Jetstream, entered the album charts at number two this year. The band has also seen prior success with number one hit Black and White Town in 2005 and are to perform at Glastonbury festival and T in the park this summer.

Recently confirmed Jack Penate and American electro band Passion Pit are to join Doves to be part of, what is hoped to be, the “most diverse line up yet”. The bands are set to perform on the main stage which has seen Snow Patrol, Razorlight and the ‘mighty’ Prodigy appear on in previous years.

Jersey Live festival confirms French music mag “Les Inrockuptibles” will host a new stage which is to accommodate many emerging French and UK artists. The launch of the stage, along with the reappearance of local Cream Tease Tent and the VIP tent means this years’ festival is to see five stages on both days.

The first act announced for the VIP Spiegel Tent is Craig Charles, bringing the sounds of his ý 6music Blues and Soul Show to the Trinity Showground.

It has already being confirmed earlier this year Brixton house act Basement Jaxx are to headline the main stage on Saturday and indie rock band The Kooks, the Sunday. Furthermore, several Jersey groups, such as battle of the band winners; Brave Yesterday, The Dirty Aces, Black Stats and Marvel add their names to the line up.

From punk rock to space disco to blues and soul we can be sure Jersey Live is expecting cater for everybody’s needs this summer.
