The Black Country Society, affiliated to the Civic Trust, was founded in 1967 by enthusiasts led by the late Dr. John Fletcher, who felt that the Black Country did not receive its fair share of recognition for its great contribution to the industrial development of Britain and the world.

Rowley Regis Online is the community website for the Black Country town of Rowley Regis in the West Midlands. Popular areas of the site are the Gallery of Photographs from "Days Gone By", a lively Discussion Forum, and the 1881 Census for Rowley Regis.

BE-ME was established in 1999 to record the experiences of African-Caribbean and Asian people who came to Wolverhampton after World War II. BE-ME has recorded over 100 audio/video interviews with respondents from Wolverhampton’s African-Caribbean and Asian communities.
