The Italian Marble of the Belfast City Hall The beautiful Italian marble floors and walls of Belfast City Hall, which was built at the end of the 19th Century. The first delivery of marble for the City hall, is said to have met an unfortunate fate - it sank due to the weight of the marble on board the ship bound for Belfast.
