Your Story: Cloughs from Near and Far

In September of this year I again brought a group of American Clough's to England and Wales where we saw additional Clough related sites - including Portmeirion - as well as additional Sir Richard Clough descendants - including Robin of Portmeirion. I was interviewed on 大象传媒 Wales Radio, the group was on 大象传媒 Wales TV news, and there were many articles written about us in many Welsh newspapers.

One of our stops was the Denbighshire Record Office in Ruthin. They put on a fantastic exhibit for us that included information on Sir Richard Clough and his wife, Kathryn Tudor of Berain.

The fact that we, the descendants of John Clough, have found our Clough connection to the 'Motherland' through DNA analysis is quite remarkable. What is even more amazing to us is the very warm welcome we have gotten from our distant Clough cousins. In fact, many of them took us up on our invitation to gather at Portmeirion for tea while we were there in September. A group photo was taken with my group members and our Welsh and British Clough cousins.
