Your Story: My Gran |
|
The fashions in those days were rock and roll clothes, such as dresses with frills and petty coats underneath.
My favourite author was Jane Austin because her books are exciting and adventurous. I celebrated Christmas by having a party at home with my family and a night out at the cinema for my birthday. I spent my holidays camping in the lake district and if I was lucky a holiday in Scotland.
Last of all I had a favourite outfit which was a long black taffeder skirt trimmed in lemon with a lemon blouse to match. The best present I ever received was a glass dome clock which I got off my husband when he was in the army.
I can describe my house as a brick fronted house in Moorsley. I loved Elvis Presley but the Beatles were the most popular, but the best song I thought was Bill Haley and the Comets, Rock Around The Clock.
This is a report on my life when I was 21, which was the favourite time of my life.
