Walk The Walk?Chris wants to encourage people to get out and about on-foot and enjoy a beautiful part of the country that is often forgotten in regular walking guide-books. "I'm a keen hiker, having completed many of England's long-distance paths like; the Pennine Way, Dales Way, Cornish Coastal Path, Cumbria Way and Cotswold Way and many more. "Having recently become a Dad, I decided this year I should try a long-distance path on my own doorstep! It's been a real eye-opener." The Leicestershire Round passes through the Soar and Wreake Valleys, before climbing to high ground at Burrough Hill near Melton Mowbray. The footpath then passes through beautiful villages like Somerby, Hallaton, The Langtons and Foxton. It also crosses major motorways, tours, canal towpaths and ancient battle sites.
