A ten-year-old schoolgirl's dream of becoming a nurse came true, but just for one day.

Ellie Lock, from Barnsley, wrote a letter to Sheffield Hallam University's Health & Wellbeing Faculty asking about the skills needed to become a nurse.

So the Year 5 pupil was overjoyed when she was sent an invitation for a personal tour of their facilities, and an offer to spend the rest of the day being a nurse.

After months of frustration drivers will be relieved to learn that a 30mph speed limit on the M621 near Leeds is being lifted.

From Saturday, motorists using one of the main routes in and out of the city will be able to cruise along at the original 50mph limit.

Yellow overhead average speed cameras appeared last November, as work to install a concrete barrier on the central reservation began.

In total 3,401 metres of barrier have been installed and more than 7,700 metres of resurfacing has taken place.

The M621 will remain closed overnight in either direction between junctions 1 and 7 until mid-July with diversions in place.

A bill of sale from a London chocolatier, dating from 1774, was found in the archives of council-owned Temple Newsam House.

It shows how fashionable nobles became part of an 18th century chocolate revolution, satisfying their cocoa cravings with special deliveries from the capital.

Drafted in copperplate handwriting, the bill from Nicholas Sanders Chocolate Makers in Greek Street, Soho, shows how Lord Ingram of Temple Newsam paid one pound and thirteen shillings for a taste of cocoa pioneer Hans Sloane’s famous drinking chocolate.

Leila Prescott, curator at Temple Newsam, said: “Hot chocolate in particular became hugely popular among British nobility in the 18th Century.

"Having orders specially sent up from exclusive London emporiums was very much a status symbol and a statement about the life of luxury those who lived here enjoyed."

Sheffield City Council say Brexit is already making Britain a more risky place to invest, after dockless bike-sharing scheme company ofo decided to quit the city.

Labour councillor Jack Scott, who is the cabinet member for transport, says despite the appetite Sheffield has shown for a scheme like ofo's, Brexit imeans Britain "is too risky" for some investors.

“It’s a real shame that ofo is downsizing its operations across the UK, starting with their flagship scheme in Sheffield.

"Brexit hasn’t even happened yet, but it is obviously already making Britain a more risky place for investment."

The A59 at Kex Gill, between Skipton and Harrogate, has a history of landslips to the west of Blubberhouses.

North Yorkshire County Council say extensive ground investigations were necessary to find the cause of the problem and to devise a remedy.

The council said work to stabilise the wall below the road has gone to schedule and vehicles should be able to use it again by late Sunday, providing load testing over the weekend shows it's safe for public use.

The stabilisation work involved drilling steel rods into the wall to attach a reinforced mesh, then spraying concrete on the face to bind everything together.

Police are trying to find a man they want to speak to in connection with an attack on a 15-year-old boy in the Longley area of Sheffield.

Kyle Wood, 18, is wanted by police for assault and a number of other alleged offences including theft, breach of a court order and perverting the course of justice.
