    A woman has died after a house fire in Dover.

    Ambulance crews were called just after 08:35 GMT today to reports of a house fire in Tower Street.

    The air ambulance service was also called.

    A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Brighton and Hove Albion have completed the signing of striker Leonardo Ulloa on loan from Leicester City, three-and-a-half years after the player left the Seagulls.

    Ulloa has signed until the end of the season.

    Albion manager Chris Hughton said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e delighted to welcome Leo back to the club. He鈥檚 scored goals at Premier League level and will further strengthen our attacking options.

    鈥淚 wasn鈥檛 here during his first spell at the club, but I know he was very well thought of by all concerned, including the club鈥檚 supporters.

    鈥淗e鈥檚 achieved a great deal since he left, including winning a Premier League title, and his experience at this level will be hugely beneficial to us.

    鈥淎lbion fans will know all about him: he鈥檚 a physical striker that holds the ball up well, and he鈥檚 capable of scoring goals, which we he hope he will continue back here.鈥

    An elderly cyclist was airlifted to hospital after a collision yesterday.

    It happened on the A299 in Herne Bay at 10:07 GMT.

    The cyclist is in a London hospital with serious injuries, and the road was closed for five hours.

    A 43-year-old man's been arrested.

    A council has apologised for failing two young boys sexually abused by their father and his friend for years.

    Sam and Nick Smith have waived their right to anonymity to speak about the historical abuse they suffered in Kent.

    Glen Smith officially adopted Sam and was abusing him from around the age of five in their Margate home while Sam's mother was working night shifts.

    Smith also allowed his friend Arnold Bracs, a convicted paedophile, to abuse his biological son Nick.

    A playgroup leader at the time, Smith never answered for his crimes.
