Deaf and blind man's gold award

Help

A man who is deaf and partially sighted has been presented with the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.

Roger Mulholland, 25, from Tiverton used sign language and visual symbols to communicate while on expeditions and volunteering.

Mr Mulholland, who was recently named Deafblind Person of the Year by the charity Sense, received his award at St James's Palace.
