Green Flag for Castle Woods village park, Mumbles

Mumbles Development Trust paid tribute to the volunteers who have worked at the park
A Swansea park has been selected as one of the UK's best community-run green spaces.
Castle Woods in Mumbles will get the Green Flag Community Award, for sites deemed well-managed and welcoming.
Robin Bonham of Mumbles Development Trust called it a a reward for the volunteers who worked there.
Phil Barton, the Green Flag Plus Partnership chairman, said the scheme was essential in driving up the standards of parks and green spaces.
"Access to quality green space is something we all desire and the scheme plays a key role in providing it," he said.
A total of 1,288 parks and green spaces will fly either the Green Flag or Community Award this year.
The Green Flag Award Scheme is managed by a consortium, which consists of Keep Britain Tidy, the volunteer group BTCV and GreenSpace.
All award-winning sites now have the chance to receive a further accolade from the Green Flag Plus Partnership, the People's Choice Award.
