She has been working on the show since before launch in September 2003.

Q1. Explain how Silver Street is planned and recorded.

We record and make four weeks of the soap at any given time. We record for six days.

Q2. Do you have any tips for people who may be new to radio drama?

If you're new to radio, that's no reason not to become involved..

Q3. What does recording on location add to a radio drama?

The beauty of location work is that the actors are always in the now.

Q4. Describe a typical week in the life of a radio trainee producer.

At the beginning of the week they may well be directing, working with actors, preparing scripts - and at the end of the week reading the first draft of new scripts and casting for that.
