Sandringham
House was built in 1870 by the Prince and Princess of Wales,
later King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. |
The
Queen came to Norfolk on Thursday, July 18 as part of her Golden
Jubilee tour of the UK.
The
highlight of her visit was a garden party for 4,000 guests at the
Sandringham estate,
the Royal Family's Norfolk home.
The
party was the largest gathering on the west lawn at Sandringham
since VE Day.
For
the first time the Queen allowed live television cameras inside
the private grounds - watch

The
Royal Family regularly spends Christmas at the house, which was
built by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.
The Queen Mother was the Sandringham Flower Festival's most-loved
visitor - never missing a show in 50 years.
This
year Prince Charles will attend the flower show in his late grandmother's
place.
Sandringham
House and Museum is open to the public.
