The Audience Council has published its Review of 2009/10.

This is the Council's independent assessment of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s performance in Northern Ireland in the last year.

The Audience Council exists to champion the interests of the audiences who own and pay for the ´óÏó´«Ã½. The Review updates licence fee payers on the Council's work to understand audience views and expectations and ensure they are heard when key decisions are taken about ´óÏó´«Ã½ services.

This year, the Council has looked for progress in a number of areas of particular importance for the local audience - ranging from expectations about programme quality through to concerns about access to the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s digital services.

The Audience Council Review has been published alongside the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland Management Review and the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Annual Report and Accounts.

I hope that you find the Audience Council Review informative. Please do if you have views which will inform the Audience Council's understanding of the needs and interests of the audience here in Northern Ireland.

We are very appreciative to everyone who has contributed to the work of the Audience Council throughout the year through our discussions and events.
