Preach Me
by Steph McGuckin |
Prayer never comes into it.
Any pursuit
Any journey
Any future,
Always lacked three important travellers.
I seen others rely on faith
To aid
To persuade
To guide,
And envied the higher power as a pillar to lean on.
I am a wayward believer
And yes I doubt
The beginning,
The source,
And what it鈥檚 all about.听
Despite my cynicism and disbelief
I just can鈥檛 seem to shake
The worry,
The concern,
The impending mistake;
He is standing in my garden waiting
And I refuse to look out the window.听
