Live 8 Live

Saturday 2 July - 大象传媒 TWO, 1.00-4.00pm; 大象传媒 ONE, 4.00-9.30pm (approx)

For those not lucky enough to win tickets to Live 8, the disappointment should be short lived as Jonathan Ross kick starts the 大象传媒's coverage of the world's biggest rock concert in London's Hyde Park.

As the action unfolds live on the stage, Jonathan will take viewers to the very heart of the event, reporting from a specially built, all seeing pod set just above the live acts.

Jo Whiley and Fearne Cotton will be catching the bands as they come on and off stage and keeping viewers up to date with all of the backstage action.

Bob Geldof, Bono, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Elton John, Sting and Chris Martin are just some of the big names that will be interviewed by the 大象传媒 team of presenters.

Special guests include Michael Buerk, Jools Holland, George Alagiah, Sanjeev Baskhar and Meera Syal.

Not only will we be bringing all of the London Concert live, but also the best of the music from Paris, Berlin and Rome.

Fearne Cotton says: "I'm so happy to be involved in Live 8. It's going to be such an amazing event.

"My mum and dad went to the original Live Aid and said it was an incredible day so I just cannot wait. An awesome line up and the world watching, it's going to be a cool day!"

George Alagiah says: "Live 8 is going to be about having fun - and so it should be - but it's also a part of a new wave of activism that's sweeping across Britain.

"Our relationship with the poor world is, literally, centre stage, and my job on the day will be to fill in the gaps between the music and the mission."

Live 8 Crosses the Atlantic

Saturday 2 July - 大象传媒 ONE, 10.00pm (approx) to 3.00am (approx)

As America gears up to go live Jonathan Ross will take a look back at the excitement of the day, reflecting on the event with organiser Bob Geldof.

Then crossing over live to the States, Graham Norton will be on hand to bring viewers back home the excitement of the amazing line up from Philadelphia.

Will Smith will host the concert which includes 50 Cent, Bon Jovi, Kaiser Chiefs, Maroon 5, P Diddy and Stevie Wonder.

Graham will be reporting backstage, interviewing all the stars and bringing the UK viewers all the gossip and news as it happens.

He says: "Live 8 is one of those moments in time which people will remember for years to come, and those of us who were there will look back on with great affection.

"I would have been more than happy to serve coffee backstage had that been the only job on offer, so I'm over the moon to have been asked to present the American part of this amazing event"

Davina and Dermot are out and about, talking to performers backstage and to the audience enjoying the concert in the park.

Davina says: "My memory of Live Aid is being glued to the TV all day. I particularly remember Phil Collins travelling over continents, which summed up what the day was all about, and the feeling of intense good will and the want to change something."

Chris says: "Back in 1985 I was working as a kissogram in Manchester.

"I had six jobs to do on the evening of Live Aid and I couldn't wait to get back into the car - a mark three green Triumph Spitfire - to listen to the unfolding events on the radio.

He hopes to record the triumphs, frustrations, the tensions and joys and of course the humour behind staging this major event.
