Demonstrating the 大象传媒's commitment to engaging and stimulating learning, the 大象传媒 will be showcasing its latest innovations in digital learning - 大象传媒 Bitesize, 大象传媒 Blast, 60 Second Shakespeare and introducing some content from 大象传媒 jam - at stand F30 at BETT 2006.

The range of services is packed with curricula-based material and an innovative combination of video games, audio and animation.

大象传媒 jam is aimed first and foremost at the children themselves and will be available whenever and from wherever they choose to access - at home or as a continuation of their learning at school.

大象传媒 Bitesize will be showcasing brand new GCSE modules in English, History, Physics and the new Diploma in Digital Applications (DiDA). The new DiDA qualification aims to prepare teenagers for the real world of work or further education and is designed to stimulate students' creativity and develop real-world, practical skills.

Other highlights include the new Bitesize modern languages game and the revamped GCSE Bitesize English website which has been extended to include more content, Flash activities and new English revision techniques.

大象传媒 Blast is a unique 大象传媒 project created to inspire and engage 13 to 19-year-olds in bringing their creative ideas to life, by offering them opportunities to explore their interest in art, dance, music, film, writing or digital creativity.

Bringing together online, television and radio and community events, 大象传媒 Blast enables young people to develop their own ideas, find contacts, and showcase their own work, building young people's confidence and know-how through professional support.

大象传媒 Blast will be featuring Blast workshops at BETT in film editing, animation, podcasting and music to young people: a chance to see digital creativity in action.

Teachers will be invited to join in the activities facilitated by professional film-makers and to talk to young people about the process. Teachers who wish to develop creativity in their schools will be offered a Blast Creative Toolkit.

Every day at noon and 3.00pm, there will be a demonstration on the stand of the work created by young people during the workshops.

60 Second Shakespeare will be another feature of stand F30. The 大象传媒 is looking for UK students to take up the challenge of creating their own 60-second interpretation of Shakespeare in film or audio. Schools have until Spring 2006 to work on their 60 Second Shakespeare submissions. Movies and audios will be accepted until 26 May 2006 for publication on the site.

The 大象传媒 will be organising a series of skills workshops for teachers across the UK - a great opportunity to pick up new ideas and benefit from the professional skills training on offer.

Previewing for the first time at BETT 2006 is 大象传媒 jam, which will mark a new era in online learning driven by the needs of five to 16-year-olds. Designed to engage and inspire learners, 大象传媒 jam will introduce 20 subjects throughout 2006 and will continue to roll out until 2008.

The first six, live from the end of January 2006, are Maths and English for five to seven-year-olds, Science for seven to nine-year-olds, Geography for seven to 11-year-olds, French for 11 to 14-year-olds and Business Studies for 14 to 16-year-olds.

Up to 50 per cent of the learning outcomes in each subject area can be found on 大象传媒 jam - alternative learning materials are available through Curriculum Online.

Liz Cleaver, Controller of Learning and Interactive, 大象传媒, said: "We acknowledge what engages children in the 21st century and we've created 大象传媒 jam with them, for them and for their world.

"As with Bitesize and Blast, 大象传媒 jam will provide a service that stimulates children and engages them in education by putting creativity and control into their hands. This heralds an exciting development for online learning to make a true impact on education in the UK."
