How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? finalists

It's showtime!

They've climbed ev'ry mountain, been flibbertigibbets and clowns, and finally proved themselves to Andrew Lloyd Webber and his panel of experts. But now the How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? finalists will face their biggest challenge.

The casting baton is firmly handed over to the nation to pick who they want to be the people's Maria.

Live each Saturday night on 大象传媒 ONE, the final ten will have to sing and show that they have the talent, guts and drive to win the hearts and minds of the viewers, as it is now up to them to vote for their favourite and solve the problem of Maria.

Who will win the most coveted role in showbiz and go on to perform on the West End stage as Maria von Trapp in the new version of The Sound of Music?

Genial host Graham Norton will be firmly in charge of proceedings and although the experts - Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian, Zoe Tyler and John Barrowman - can have their say, they must stand and watch as the viewers make their choice.

But who could it be?

Notes to Editors

As Emilie Alford and Laura Sicurello both won their places in the final 10 after a tense final sing-off in front of Andrew and the panel, Siobhan Dillon, who had seemingly been a dead cert from the early stages, lost out dramatically.

Having been ill for seven days she just could not prove her vocal talent or her consistency and they voted against her.

But in a twist of fate, Emilie later decided that this path was not for her or her voice and shockingly pulled out - leaving one Maria-shaped space. As Siobhan had been their next choice - she replaced Emilie as the final Maria.
