Borat, All Saints and Smokey Robinson on the Ross sofa

Tonight Jonathan Ross welcomes to the show Kazakhstan's finest export, Borat, to Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on 大象传媒 ONE.

After greeting Jonathan in traditional fashion, he reveals that Jonathan's brother Paul is a national hero in his native land: "Paul Ross is a big star in Kazakhstan. We have a statue of Paul Ross - 18 January is Paul Ross Day!"

Borat's controversial film - Borat: Cultural Learning of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan - is released in the UK on 2 November.

All Saints grace the Ross sofa to talk about their acrimonious break-up and return to the forefront of the music industry after an absence of five years:

"We were in tatters and that was it, really... [there was] an accumulation of many things that didn't get solved at the time" - Shaznay;

"No-one around us encouraged us to talk; they just wanted us to make the cash" - Nicole;

"It was a mutual falling apart" - Mel.

Natalie also talks about her experience during I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here: "It was awful for me. My head wasn't screwed on properly. I didn't want to quit but it got too much."

And Mel reveals that she voted for her to leave: "I voted, but only once!"

Jonathan also welcomes to the show soul singing legend Smokey Robinson, who talks about his early career: "Segregation was everywhere. It was really rough in the beginning, in the South... [but] the music brought everyone together. Motown bridged a lot of gaps."

And Smokey gives his views on contemporary music: "The urban sound is what these kids know - it's just life as they know it. It's a shame the negative stuff gets more publicity than the positive.

"Music is a gift, something to be shared and bring people together. For people to use it to make war doesn't make sense to me, period."

Plus, there's music on the show from Gnarls Barkley, performing their new single Who Cares live in the studio.

A HotsauceTV/Open Mike production for 大象传媒 ONE.
