Jennifer Ellison plays Bethany Taylor
Tell us about your character, who appears in the first episode.
Ìý
She's a football agent with a sharp tongue. She's a bit of a bitch to Joe – she obviously takes a disliking to him straight away, and doesn't bother with any niceties.

What has it been like filming with John Thomson? Was it good fun?
Ìý
I loved filming with John – he's such a comedian, he was constantly cracking jokes and trying to put everyone off their lines. He is a really lovely guy and great fun to film with – we managed to finish the episode after a lot of laughter!
Ìý
Do you think you are anything like your character?
Ìý
No! Well I certainly hope not, anyway. She's a real cow – and she's happy to tread on anyone that gets in the way of her making money. It's a cut-throat business and she's prepared to do what it takes to keep her career going.

You're currently starring as Roxy Hart in the musical Chicago in the West End – another taste of the legal system! How are you enjoying that?
Ìý
I love being in Chicago. I really enjoy acting in any way – whether it is stage, TV or film, they are all very different, but all very enjoyable. Being on stage gives me an enormous buzz – performing to a live audience is like nothing else. I hope I'm not going to start getting typecast into legal productions for the rest of my life after these two, though!
