Clare is a passionate young Tory whose lifelong ambition is to become an MP.
Last year, whilst still a university student, she was the youngest candidate to
stand in a local election in the UK.

She sees herself as a natural a leader and a good communicator and admits to
being hugely opinionated regarding issues such as world poverty, the injustice
pensioners face in the UK and political apathy.
听
Highly competitive, Clare admits that she can be confident to the point of
arrogance and sometimes finds it hard to be diplomatic. She likes to be around
fun and energetic people and admires courage in others. She dislikes attention
seekers, people who are two-faced and those who are "uneducated and narrow-minded in their views."

The idea of being an "It" girl is highly appealing to Clare; she enjoys going
out partying and drinking most nights. Her father, who built her a house,
recently forced her to take a job as a recruitment consultant.

With hobbies such as gliding, flying, sailing and walking, Clare is an active
person. She has achieved her Level 1 in RAF survival skills and sees herself as
fairly practical. She admits that she will find it very difficult to live
without alcohol, her work and books.

Clare describes herself as fun-loving, eccentric, opinionated, lovable and
bubbly, and sees this experience as an amazing opportunity for her to find
herself and "to meet a different group of people whom I normally wouldn't mix
with."
