Public signs Alan Johnston petition

Members of the public have the opportunity to add their names to the petition calling for the release of kidnapped 大象传媒 Gaza correspondent Alan Johnston.
听
The petition was launched in Monday's (2 April) Guardian newspaper when 300 leading figures from the journalistic community signed a calling for Johnston's release.
听
Now the public are adding their names to the petition which is continuing on the 大象传媒 News website this week.
听
Members of the public are also posting messages of support for Johnston and his family on the website at: bbc.co.uk/haveyoursay
听
A wide range of correspondents, editors and presenters from the UK and abroad signed the petition in the Guardian.
听
Johnston has worked in Gaza for three years. He was last seen on the afternoon of 12 March 2007.
