|
´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Gloucestershire has gained 10,000 extra listeners over the last
year and now has an average weekly audience of 96,000 – a record for the
station – according to latest official figures.
Ìý
The figures are from Rajar (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd), an independent
survey system which tracks radio listening for both ´óÏó´«Ã½ and commercial
stations. The period measured was the first quarter of 2007.
Ìý
Rajar's figures also reveal that, within the Radio Gloucestershire
transmission area, more than 20% of the population listen to the station each
week. Year on year this is up from 18.3% to 20.1%.
Ìý
Mark Hurrell, Managing Editor, Radio Gloucestershire, says: "We are
absolutely thrilled that our audience figures are up once again and that
we now have a record 96,000 people tuning in each week.
Ìý
"It's
amazing to think that we are reaching over a fifth of the county's
