Episode synopses


Episode one

Ìý

Ashley's agent Murray gets to sign the most important contract of his life – in a wedding so flamboyant and extravagant it would put Jordan and Peter's to shame.

Ìý

Relations between Ashley and her green-eyed twin Jade are as strained as ever as Ashley's status goes international with a major casting for a huge designer label.

Ìý

Super mum Pauline is still firmly in tow, pushing her way to the top of Slique modelling agency, but the Bluetooth head set, blackberry and swish leather briefcase can't hide the fact that the pressure is still on at home.

Ìý

Ashley's priorities have changed and she's flunked her exams. Dad Terry's finding his status as head of the family under threat and the Webb family are rocked by terrible news about Tiggsy.

Episode two

Ìý

Domestic bliss is short-lived as Murray returns from a business trip to discover his flat has been cleaned out and his husband is nowhere to be seen, leaving Nana Howard to pick up the pieces of a broken hearted Murray.

Ìý

Pauline's on the scout for new models, determined to earn her place in the agency and in Murray's good books, while Terry's life is disintegrating before his very eyes – his best mate's seriously ill and he's got to apply for his own job at the garage.

Ìý

Ashley's terrible grades demand some extra lessons and the instant chemistry with her teacher Ben means the castings at Chanel are not so high up on her priority list.

Ìý

Plans are made to move out of Runcorn and into a bigger, better house – but can Terry really stomach being his high-flying daughter's tenant?

Episode three

Ìý

Murray's depression is compounded by the news that Fabios has kidnapped Brutus. He has just one chance to get him back, so decides to send in Nana Howard to do some hard ball negotiating for the dog's release.

Ìý

As Ashley and teacher Ben's feelings for one another ramp up a gear, their secret isn't safe for long – but long enough for Pauline to carry out plans to move into a flash new house as soon as possible, before Terry finds out about the illicit affair and hits the roof.

Ìý

Headmaster Howard takes action on the soft spot he's been harbouring for his scowling canteen supervisor Val, and decides to make a move after plying her with a bottle of red.

Ìý

Meanwhile, Tiggsy's health takes a turn for the worse, and after spending a final night in the pub, he slips away. Pauline's determined to tell the children together but no one can find Ash to break the news to her.

Ìý

Only Pauline knows where she'll be, and turns up at Ben's flat, followed by a deranged Terry, meaning Ben's in for a shocking beating, all in front of a distraught Ashley.

Episode four

Ìý

Murray attempts to keep a lid on Ashley's affair, by going into PR overdrive and making Ben sign off from work and lay low.

Ìý

On the day the family say their final farewells to Tiggsy, a grieving Webb family move into the house of Pauline's dreams with mixed emotions.

Ìý

Ashley's casting at Chanel means she's the official landlord, but with a huge mortgage, a beaten-up boyfriend and a family at loggerheads, an already fragile Ashley questions if this is the life she really wants.

Ìý

The secret's out as Terry learns the truth about how his wife really got her hands on the new house, driving even more of a wedge between them and their marriage, and life in the dream home has now become a cacophony of door slamming and raging arguments.

Episode five

Ìý

Terry starts his new night security job, and enjoys the attention of a certain regular evening visitor, while Pauline's desperately trying to revive their flagging marriage.

Ìý

Murray throws his fabulous yearly party for Slique. Pauline's protégé Brogan is sniffing around DJ Darren, causing a full on cat-fight with a jealous Jade in front of the waiting paparazzi.

Ìý

As Ashley's profile and income grow, so do Murray's nerves as other agents start to sniff around her offering her the world and, with recent events, she looks like she might just take them up on the offer.

Ìý

As Terry moves further into the clutches of another woman and further away from his marriage, Pauline makes a terrible discovery that will tear the family apart.

Episode six

Ìý

Jade stumbles across Terry and Slique receptionist Michelle together, and, utterly heart-broken, breaks the news to Pauline, whose worst fears are confirmed.

Ìý

The behaviour of Val's daughter Orla means Val has to sort out her priorities. She ends her relationship with an infatuated Howard, who then questions whether life is worth living without her.

Ìý

Pauline and Terry fight to salvage not just their marriage of nearly 21 years, but also the state of their entire, fragmented family. But Pauline is rocked even further by a secret from the past about Terry and her best friend, that comes back to haunt them.

Ìý

With the Webb family at breaking point it's time for Ashley to decide for herself what it is that she really wants and whether that involves staying put or moving on to a new chapter in her life.
