Dermot O'Leary meets a model singer

Catwalk star Agyness Deyn popped into the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 2 studios this week to speak to Dermot O'Leary and perform an acoustic version of Who with Five O'Clock Heroes singer Antony Ellis.

Ìý

Speaking about the musical collaboration, Antony said that it was a very pleasant surprise when he discovered his famous friend could sing.

Ìý

While the self-deprecating model declared herself "no Whitney Houston", Antony – who bought Agyness her first guitar in New York – believes that music is "in her blood" and he revealed that her debut recording session only took one hour.

Ìý

Despite a busy modelling schedule, there are plans afoot for Agyness to tour with the Five O'Clock Heroes in July.

Ìý

The catwalk star admitted that one of the first questions she asked the band was whether she could go on tour with them and she believes that it is possible to juggle both careers.

Ìý

"I'm a firm believer in doing what makes you happy," she says. "If I'm happy when I'm not modelling, it makes me – as a model – much better."

Ìý

Agyness and Antony perform Who and a cover of Albert Hammond Jr's Scared on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 2, Saturday 14 June, Dermot O'Leary show, 2.00-5.00pm
