The NFL comes to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live Sports Extra with a new weekly programme every Sunday from 13 September (9.00pm-12.30am).
The show, 5 Live NFL, is the first weekly American sports live commentary programme on British radio.
Presented by Arlo White, 5 Live NFL has all the action throughout the season, including live match commentaries, interviews and all the latest NFL news.
Arlo will be joined in the studio by American Football journalist and broadcaster Neil Reynolds, with commentary and analysis from Greg Brady in America.
The programme will have live commentary of the day's featured match plus news from all the day's other games.
It will cover all 17 weeks of the regular season, including full live commentary of Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 25 October, the NFL play-offs in January 2010 and the season finale, the Super Bowl, on 7 February 2010.
The opening 5 Live NFL of the season features commentary from Glendale as last year's Super Bowl runners-up Arizona Cardinals host San Francisco 49ers.
There will also be updates from New York where the Giants meet the Washington Redskins, plus all the news from across the NFL.
Jonathan Wall, Commissioning Editor, Radio 5 Live, says: "We're really excited to be broadcasting the first weekly live NFL programme on British radio, further expanding our sports portfolio on 5 Live Sports Extra.
"We've had a great listener response from our previous NFL Wembley and Super Bowl commentaries, so we hope this new weekly show will prove equally popular with the UK's legion of American Football fans."
Continuing the US sporting theme ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live will have live basketball coverage of NBA Europe live on Tuesday 6 October.
Mark Pougatch will present live from London's O2 for the NBA pre-season match between Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz.
Mark will be joined by Colin Murray, who will be reporting from behind the scenes, whilst Radio 5 Live's entertainment correspondent Colin Paterson will be celebrity spotting in the audience and British-raised former NBA star John Amaechi will provide expert analysis.
5 Live NFL is produced by USP Content for 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra.
You can listen to 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra via DAB digital radio, Digital TV and online at bbc.co.uk/5live.
