Dame Cleo Laine – Scatting
Grammy award-winning, Dame Cleo Laine is a singer who has crossed all genres but she is best known for her unique range, love of jazz and ability to scat. She has performed the whole world over from the Royal Albert Hall to Broadway. She performs here alongside her late husband, the acclaimed jazz saxophonist, clarinettist and composer, Sir John Dankworth.
Julian Lloyd Webber – Cello
Brit Award-winning cellist, Julian Lloyd Webber has worked with artists as diverse as Yehudi Menuhin and Sir Elton John. As well as performing the well-known classical repertoire, he has premiered more than fifty new works, inspiring compositions from composers as diverse as Malcolm Arnold to Philip Glass.
Dame Evelyn Glennie – Tubular Bells and Waterphone
Grammy award-winning and internationally renowned solo percussionist, Evelyn plays a multitude of percussion instruments despite being profoundly deaf. She has performed with a prolific range of musicians including Sting and Bjork.
Joji Hirota Taiko – Drums
Joji was born in Japan and began a lifelong study of percussion aged just 11. A globally recognised soloist, he has worked with many ensembles including the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra.
Dhinawan – Didgeridoo
Dhinawan is a descendant of the Gamillaroi Bigambul tribe in Australia. He has performed all over the world teaching Aboriginal songs, stories, dances and art from his Aboriginal roots.
