Wallace And Gromit: regional roadshows

Wallace And Gromit's World Of Invention

Wallace And Gromit's World Of Invention regional roadshows

´óÏó´«Ã½ Learning has teamed up with Aardman Animations to create an exciting new road show to accompany the Wallace And Gromit World Of Invention television series this autumn.

Inspired by Wallace's love of inventing, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Learning tour will give budding inventors the opportunity to step into the world of Wallace And Gromit. Adults and children will get the chance to build their own version of Wallace's brand new "Run-Around Steam Chair" and be able to get hands-on at the clay station. There will also be original animation sets and characters from the show on display, making this an experience not to be missed.

The tour will visit six UK shopping centres throughout November and December 2010 and will be open to the public over consecutive weekends:

6-7 November: Cabot Circus, Bristol
13-14 November: Bluewater, Kent
20-21 November: Silverburn, South Glasgow
27-28 November: thecentre:mk, Milton Keynes
4-5 December: Trafford Centre, Manchester
11-12 December: Westfield, Derby

The road shows will offer something for everyone. On the day a designated area of the shopping centre will be transformed into a life size replica of Wallace's television studio.

With the help of experienced facilitators, budding inventors will have a chance to build their very own version of Wallace's brand new "Run-About Steam Chair" whilst others can make their own creations using the clay stations. There will also be the opportunity to see a display of original animation sets and characters from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ One series, Wallace And Gromit's World Of Inventions.

The minimum age is seven years for the invention sessions and three years for the clay station. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The road show is free to attend, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
