Get Up, Get Out

If you’re one of the many people who think they should get a bit more active, we are talking to you.

As part of The James Piekos Breakfast Show, we are running a campaign called “Get Up, Get Out” – all about the small changes we can all make to our lives to make a big difference.

Whatever your personal motivation is – we’re highlighting the steps you can take to get stronger and fitter. No gyms, no personal trainers and no boot camps. With the help of some experts, we’re offering real world health hacks for busy people who want to get fitter.

100 Miles, 100 Voices

James Piekos is walking 100 miles in five days across the Radio Humberside area of Northern Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

From Flamborough to Scunthorpe, James is walking an epic 20 miles a day, meeting people on the way and talking about their own health and fitness stories.

As the week progresses, we’ll add photos and interviews on this page and, of course, you can hear how James is getting on by tuning in to 大象传媒 Radio Humberside for frequent updates. You can see his route each day by clicking on the links.

No two people are the same and your level of fitness will be different to the next person who reads this page but we hope James’ mammoth effort will inspire you to challenge yourself and take your own first steps.

Remember to let us know how you get on, email us at getupgetout@bbc.co.uk.
