The Wedgwood Garden

Designed by Jo Thompson

Designed by Jo Thompson

Water unifies the garden and moves throughout the space with purpose, connecting key elements and echoing the canals and watercourses of the past that were fundamental to the functionality of Wedgwood’s production and industry.

Classicism meets modernism in Jo Thompson's garden inspired by Wedgwood's founder, Josiah Wedgwood.
A key component of the garden is water.
There is a mix of dry areas and roses elsewhere.
This garden references Etruria, Wedgwood’s eighteenth century factory and village built for workers.
