The Final - Recording The Show

Due to the challenges of Covid-19 and the brilliant staging, the performances you will see in the Final were all performed live and scored in front of Little Mix earlier. Little Mix’s scores do not count towards the Final’s result.

The viewer vote to determine the winner is, however, run live and once the vote has been independently verified this will be announced live on 大象传媒 One as part of Saturday's Final.

The Final - Deciding The Winner

There will be four bands in the final who each perform twice. Little Mix will still be scoring after each performance, but their scores are just for fun and have no impact on the final result. The winner of Little Mix The Search will be decided by the public vote, who will be able to vote for their favourite during the show.

Covid-19 Protocols for The Bands and Little Mix

The six bands have formed their own ‘household bubbles’ along with two members of production per band. Each bubble self-isolated at home prior to moving in together. They were tested twice during their initial self-isolation and were then tested a further two times in the first seven days of becoming a cohort. Additional testing has taken place thereafter. These bubbles follow government guidelines and practice social distancing from anyone not in their household bubble for the course of production.

Little Mix are not a ‘household bubble’ and therefore practice social distancing during rehearsals, when on set and during their performances.

Please be aware that distances can sometimes appear distorted by different camera angles, so during Little Mix’s performances they may occasionally appear closer than they are in real life, which is a minimum of 2 metres at all times.

Backing Vocals

All the bands are given the option to record their own backing vocals each week. If they choose to record backing vocals, then these vocals are used in moderation, to enhance the overall performance and in addition to their live vocals.

Only the members of the band are allowed to be part of the recording and it is at the individual bands discretion if they choose to use this.

Scoring in the First Two Performance Shows

After every performance, each band will receive a score of between 0 and 100% from Little Mix – everyone will be aiming for that 100%. But to get this, they must impress each member of Little Mix, as each girl has equal power. Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jade can award each band up to 25% each. The scores are then added together to get the total out of 100%.

For example, if Band 1 received:

JESY: 18%
LEIGH-ANNE: 20%
PERRIE: 15%
JADE: 22%

Their total would be: 75%

After each band has received their overall score they will appear on the leader board so we see where each band sits in relation to each other.

In the Event of a Tie

In the unlikely event of a tie in second to bottom place after all bands have performed, Little Mix will deliberate and agree on which band they want to send through to the next show and which band must perform again, alongside the band in bottom place.

The Bottom Two

After all bands have performed, the bottom two - for clarity, the two with the lowest combined scores or lowest combined joint score in the event of a tie - on the leaderboard will have to sing again to remain in the competition, and this time round they will be singing a new song. At the end of the sing off performances Little Mix will deliberate among themselves and then individually announce the band they each want to save, giving their answers one at a time, down the line.

If this is split 2:2 Little Mix will need to have a further discussion before agreeing on which band they save, and which band leaves the competition.
