Pledge to change
We know that the environment, climate change and doing our bit to help is on people's minds right now as the UK is hosting COP26, the 2021 United Nations climate change conference.
For nearly three decades the UN has been bringing together almost every country on earth for global climate summits. The meeting in Glasgow could lead to major changes to our everyday lives with 200 countries asked for their plans to cut emissions by 2030.
Sometimes the challenge can seem too big, however, we want to do our bit and so between Monday 25 October and Sunday 31 October, local 大象传媒 radio teams are coming together to help make a difference.
We want you to join in. All you need to do is pledge to change one thing that will help where we live and our planet.
Share your pledges with us and they maybe used online and on-air.
Together we hope to make a difference.

A message from the world to COP26
Young people from around the UK and the world deliver this message to leaders at the United Nations climate conference in Glasgow. With Rima Ahmed. Listen on 大象传媒 Sounds.
What could you pledge to do?
The possibilities are almost endless, here are some of the ways people are making a difference:
Do one thing differently that will help where we live and our planet.
- In the garden – planting wildflowers in your garden, allotment, school or park can help our wild bees, honey bees and butterflies to thrive.
- On the road – ditching four wheels for two wheels and cycle or scoot to school or work. If you have to drive, slow down, driving at 50mph uses 25% less fuel than 70mph.
- Cutting out plastic - cutting out using single-use plastic bottles and carrying a refillable bottle or flask.
- Joining a local litter pick - helping to clean up the neighbourhood.
- Local recycling - for example, in the UK, we fail to use 6.2m litres of the paint we buy each year, instead this could be donated a community project.
- Watching what we eat – cutting down on the food miles and eating locally sourced fruit and vegetables.
- Reducing power - energy efficient lightbulbs, turning your devices off every night and adjusting the temperature in your home are a simple way to reduce the amount of power you use.
